pitch shift
Takes an audio or video file and transposes it by a number of semitones from -12 to +12 while keeping tempo and running time, using the Rubber Band library through ffmpeg. With preserve_formants on, voices keep their natural timbre instead of sounding like cartoon characters — useful for practice tracks in another key or light voice anonymisation. Pitch-shifting is not a secure anonymisation: it can often be reversed, and the answer says so. Runs locally with ffmpeg; nothing leaves this.
