Answers the two questions that open any serious piece of research. First, where does something stand officially: filter a curated directory of authorities, registers, standards bodies and intergovernmental organisations by subject and country and get, for each one, what it is actually authoritative for, which is the real answer rather than a bare list of links. Second, is this address official: a URL is matched against the directory and, failing that, against the domain suffixes reserved for.
